James C. Nobles, Jr.
While a large part of Mr. Nobles's practice has
historically been the representation of foreign companies investing in the
U.S., today his work is heavily focused on the representation of U.S.
companies investing abroad, particularly in developing countries. Mr. Nobles
also advises clients on wholly-foreign transactions.
Mr. Nobles received his B.B.A. in Finance (Cum Laude) from Mercer
University, his Law Degree from Vanderbilt University School of Law, and his
Master's Degree in Taxation from New York University School of Law.
He is a Georgia native who began practice as a trial attorney. Prior to
focusing his practice exclusively in the international area, he advised many
clients on a broad range of legal issues in many diverse industries.
Mr. Nobles is active in a wide range of bar and professional
organizations. He has held leadership positions in the International
Sections of the American Bar Association and the Atlanta Bar
Association. Mr. Nobles is also a member of the American Law Institute
(ALI).
Mr. Nobles serves as counsel to the Global Offset & Countertrade Association
based in Washington, DC., and has served on the International Advisory
Council, a private industry board appointed by Governor Zell Miller to
advise on the development of international business in Georgia. |
